Akzidenz Grotesk, they call it the original Helvetica. This is a collection of two posters and their various versions that I created in December 2020, taking a reference for the above poster from one of the cards of this 2013 card set project by Daniel Lindqvist, highlighting the anatomical features of the typeface. His project was a tribute to 1970 New York City Transit Authority Graphics Standards Manual, designed by Massimo Vignelli and Bob Noorda, Unimark.
For the second poster, I digitally took out snippets from the 1970 New York City Transit Authority Graphics Standards Manual to create this typographic composition.
